If ERPNext has no licence cost, why is it not always the answer?
Because licence cost is one line in a total. Implementation, hosting, upgrades and the scarcity of local skills all sit on the other side. At small headcounts a licensed platform is often cheaper overall; at larger headcounts ERPNext starts to win clearly.
What happens if we want to move off ERPNext later?
The data model is open and documented, so extraction is straightforward. That is a genuine advantage over platforms where export is technically possible but practically painful.
Is ERPNext right for your operation?
